This painting was created as a tribute to military, law-enforcement and firefighters. It’s a combination of God, country and family all rolled up into one. I also wanted to incorporate the American flag in the sky to represent the blanket of freedom which flies over all of us. It took me five months to complete and was one of the most challenging paintings I have ever done. It was also the most rewarding. Despite the fact that my vision has been getting worse, I was able to complete this painting with the use of my magnifying equipment. It simply took much more time and patience.
