Description
Spring Fever – Limited Edition Paper
There are moments from childhood that never truly fade—the sound of laughter carried on the wind, the thrill of watching something you built with your own hands take flight, and the feeling that an entire day could stretch on forever. Spring Fever by Terry Redlin captures one of those perfect moments in time.
Set beneath wide-open blue skies and towering spring trees, this heartwarming scene shows a group of friends gathered in a quiet countryside clearing, their homemade kites soaring high above the treetops. The breeze is crisp, the air is fresh, and the world feels limitless. These are not store-bought toys or modern gadgets—the kites are guided by thick cotton string, knotted and repaired after breaking again and again. Those bulky knots, still visible from a distance, quietly tell a story of patience, creativity, and the simple joy of making something work.
Redlin’s extraordinary attention to detail brings the entire scene to life. From the secret hideaways tucked into the trees to the warm sunlight washing across the landscape, every brushstroke invites you to step back into a simpler era—one where friendship, imagination, and time spent outdoors meant everything.
Spring Fever doesn’t just decorate a wall—it rekindles memories, sparks conversation, and reminds us of what it felt like to be young, curious, and completely free.

Image Notes
In this delightful image we remember a time when the world was a symphony of youthful shouts, glorious blue skies and secret hideaways in the trees. On such carefree days friends gathered to test their homemade kites against the brisk spring breeze. The kites soar high and free, not at the end of new-fangled nylon line, but securely controlled by thick cotton string. The string has broken many times but is easily fixed, the knots’ bulky presence visible even at this distance.
